Servicing the Hashing needs of Mindoro since October 1990, Puerto Galera Hash House Harriers is a non-competitive running/walking/limping, social drinking club and the local chapter of the world wide drinking club with a running problem.
Every Saturday, we find a trail somewhere around Puerto Galera covering jungle, hillsides, rice padis, bitumen, sand, mud, shitty shiggy and generally anywhere we can get away with setting a trail. Hashing is all about having fun and exchanging good-natured banter, and a dash of drinking among friends who judge you by who you are, and not what you do or where you come from.
Visitors are welcome but please note that first-time runners should be introduced and accompanied by an experienced hasher. If you are looking for guided walks consider contacting a commercial tour company (your resort concierge can help out).
A sense of humor is not optional, and this is one of the times in your life where you are responsible for your own actions. Don’t overdo it and hurt yourself, the chief aim is a good run or walk. If nothing else, it makes the beer taste much better afterwards.
